Jellycat Mitten Kitten Storm

Jellycat Mitten Kitten Storm is a storm grey kitten from Jellycat, and it stands 19 cm tall.

What it is like to hold

What distinguishes Mitten Kitten Storm is the texture. It is the same everywhere you touch it, with no hard seams and no stiff patches, and the colourway of storm grey and white is matched across the ears and paws rather than left to chance at the cutting stage.

How big it is

Mitten Kitten Storm stands 19 cm. We give the exact figure on every plush for one reason: it is the only number that tells you whether something will fit it. Our garment listings carry the same kind of figure, so the two can be read directly against each other without converting anything.

The collection it belongs to

The Mitten Kitten range is where Mitten Kitten Storm comes from. Ranges matter more than they might seem to with Jellycat, because the character of a piece is set as much by the family it belongs to as by the animal it is. Buying within one range is the reliable way to end up with a shelf that looks deliberate rather than accumulated, and our outfits are sized to follow.

Fabric and washing

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Left to dry naturally it keeps its shape, and the stitched features come through a wash unchanged, which is the advantage of embroidery over anything printed or glued.

Suitability

The piece leans everyday companion, and it has been chosen most often here for Christmas and a birthday. It wraps well, which matters more than it sounds when something is being given rather than kept.

Where this sits in our shop

A Flying Wish is a small operation and it shows in the useful way: orders are packed by the people who made the garments, and the plush, Mitten Kitten Storm among them, are checked rather than shipped straight from a box. The outfits are ours, the plush are Jellycat’s, and the sizing between them is the part we take care of.
