Jellycat Amuseables Sports Beach Volley

Jellycat Amuseables Sports Beach Volley is a white amuseable from Jellycat, and it stands 26 cm tall.

What it is like to hold

The Amuseables idea is simple and it works. An ordinary thing is given a face, two small feet and enough personality to earn a place on a shelf. Amuseables Sports Beach Volley reads as white and blue, and the stitching around the features is neat enough to look deliberate rather than merely cute.

Size and fit

The height is 26 cm. That single figure is what our outfit listings are matched against, which is why it is printed here rather than a rough category. If you are buying a garment at the same time, it is the only measurement you need.

Where it sits in the Jellycat range

This one comes from the Amuseables range. Jellycat design in ranges rather than one piece at a time, and it shows: the proportions, the face and the finish carry across, which is why collectors tend to buy two or three from the same family rather than one from each. Our own outfits are cut to centimetre bands for the same reason, so a piece bought a year later still has something in the wardrobe that fits it.

Materials and care

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Spot cleaning handles most of what happens day to day, and a full wash is rarely needed more than once or twice a year unless it has been somewhere muddy.

Who it is for

We list it under novelty and fun, and it is picked here mostly for a birthday and no particular reason at all. Big enough to notice when it is unwrapped, and not so big that it has to find a permanent home the same day.

Why we stock it

Two things happen in this shop. We make outfits for plush companions, and we stock the companions themselves, Amuseables Sports Beach Volley included. Keeping both under one roof is the only way to be certain that what we sell to dress a plush actually fits the plush we sold.
