Jellycat Amuseables Sports Badminton

A white amuseable at 12 cm, Jellycat Amuseables Sports Badminton belongs to the part of Jellycat’s range made for holding.

The piece itself

The Amuseables idea is simple and it works. An ordinary thing is given a face, two small feet and enough personality to earn a place on a shelf. Amuseables Sports Badminton reads as white, and the stitching around the features is neat enough to look deliberate rather than merely cute.

Measurements and fit

The height is 12 cm. That single figure is what our outfit listings are matched against, which is why it is printed here rather than a rough category. If you are buying a garment at the same time, it is the only measurement you need.

The collection it belongs to

Within Jellycat’s catalogue Amuseables Sports Badminton belongs to Amuseables, and that is the useful thing to know when you are choosing a second one. A range shares its finish and its proportions, so pieces from the same family photograph well together and, more practically, often share a centimetre band, which means they can share a wardrobe.

Materials and care

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Washing by hand keeps the nap on the fabric, which is the part a machine cycle flattens first, and it is the difference between a plush that still looks new after two years and one that does not.

Choosing it as a gift

As a gift it works for a birthday and no particular reason at all, and it belongs to the novelty and fun side of what we stock. If you are buying for someone who already has one or two, the range it comes from is worth a look for something that will sit beside them.

Where this sits in our shop

What we are trying to build is a shop where a companion and something for it to wear can be chosen in the same visit without any measuring anxiety. Amuseables Sports Badminton is part of that, sized and banded so the outfit pages can be read against it directly.
