Amuseable Desert Cactus

Jellycat Amuseables Desert Cactus is 30 cm of green amuseable, and the weight of it is the first thing anyone notices.

A closer look

Amuseables Desert Cactus comes from the Amuseables, which take a familiar object and make a character of it. The colours run green, and the fabric has the faint nap that stops a plush looking flat in daylight, which is most of why these photograph as well as they do.

Measurements and fit

Amuseables Desert Cactus measures 30 cm. Heights are taken from the base to the top of the head rather than the tip of an ear, which is the figure the size guide lists, so a shelf or a cot space can be judged before it arrives.

Part of the Amuseables range

Amuseables Desert Cactus sits within the Amuseables range. We keep a range together on the shelf and on the site, because the pieces were designed to be seen that way, and because the sizes within a range often overlap enough that a single outfit fits more than one of them. The size guide sets out the centimetre bands, and every garment we make is listed against one of them.

Materials and care

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Spot cleaning handles most of what happens day to day, and a full wash is rarely needed more than once or twice a year unless it has been somewhere muddy.

Choosing it as a gift

We list it under home and nursery decor, and it is picked here mostly for a new home and a new arrival. Big enough to notice when it is unwrapped, and not so big that it has to find a permanent home the same day.

About A Flying Wish

What we are trying to build is a shop where a companion and something for it to wear can be chosen in the same visit without any measuring anxiety. Amuseables Desert Cactus is part of that, sized and banded so the outfit pages can be read against it directly.
