Jellycat Fossilly Stegosaurus
Fossilly Stegosaurus arrives in grey with a little blue behind it, calm and cool. It arrived from a very long time ago and has adapted to sofas remarkably well. It holds its own outline instead of folding into a heap. It photographs well and lives better.
Sold by A Flying Wish, an independent shop not affiliated with Jellycat or any other brand. Stock is limited to the units we hold.
Price range: $29.00 through $59.00

Jellycat Fossilly Stegosaurus is a grey dinosaur from Jellycat, stocked in two sizes, 8 cm and 16 cm.
A closer look
The proportions are doing the work here. Slightly heavier through the base than the head, so Fossilly Stegosaurus sits rather than topples, in a colourway of grey that stays readable in a nursery with the lights low.
How big it is
Fossilly Stegosaurus measures 8 cm and 16 cm depending on the size chosen. Heights are taken from the base to the top of the head rather than the tip of an ear, which is the figure the size guide lists, so a shelf or a cot space can be judged before it arrives.
The collection it belongs to
Within Jellycat’s catalogue Fossilly Stegosaurus belongs to Fossilly, and that is the useful thing to know when you are choosing a second one. A range shares its finish and its proportions, so pieces from the same family photograph well together and, more practically, often share a centimetre band, which means they can share a wardrobe.
Fabric and washing
Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Left to dry naturally it keeps its shape, and the stitched features come through a wash unchanged, which is the advantage of embroidery over anything printed or glued.
Who it is for
It sits on the everyday companion side of the shop and is most often bought for a birthday and no particular reason at all. The kind of thing that ends up staying, rather than being put away after a week.
Why we stock it
A Flying Wish began with outfits and grew into the plush that wear them. Fossilly Stegosaurus is stocked here because it fits that idea, and because the pieces we design are made to last as long as the companion they are made for.
