Jellycat Hot Dog
Hot Dog arrives in brown that holds the light rather than swallowing it. Kitchen-table charm, the sort of thing that makes a shelf smile. It holds its own outline instead of folding into a heap. It photographs well and lives better.

Meet Jellycat Hot Dog, a golden brown dog of 25 cm that settles easily into the crook of an arm.
A closer look
The proportions are doing the work here. Slightly heavier through the base than the head, so Hot Dog sits rather than topples, in a colourway of golden brown and red that stays readable in a nursery with the lights low.
Measurements and fit
The height is 25 cm. That single figure is what our outfit listings are matched against, which is why it is printed here rather than a rough category. If you are buying a garment at the same time, it is the only measurement you need.
The collection it belongs to
The Jellycat Characters range is where Hot Dog comes from. Ranges matter more than they might seem to with Jellycat, because the character of a piece is set as much by the family it belongs to as by the animal it is. Buying within one range is the reliable way to end up with a shelf that looks deliberate rather than accumulated, and our outfits are sized to follow.
Made from, and looking after it
Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. That is the whole of it. It is worth following, because heat is what turns a soft plush into a stiff one, and no amount of brushing afterwards brings the pile back.
Choosing it as a gift
It sits on the amuseables food and drink side of the shop and is most often bought for a birthday and no particular reason at all. The kind of thing that ends up staying, rather than being put away after a week.
About A Flying Wish
A Flying Wish is a small operation and it shows in the useful way: orders are packed by the people who made the garments, and the plush, Hot Dog among them, are checked rather than shipped straight from a box. The outfits are ours, the plush are Jellycat’s, and the sizing between them is the part we take care of.
