Jellycat Buttercup Butterfly

Jellycat Buttercup Butterfly is 32 cm of pastel multi butterfly, and the weight of it is the first thing anyone notices.

What it is like to hold

Pick Buttercup Butterfly up and the weight is the first thing you notice: enough to feel substantial, not enough to be awkward in a child’s arms. The colourway runs pastel multi, and the pile is brushed in one direction so it catches the light.

How big it is

Buttercup Butterfly stands 32 cm. We give the exact figure on every plush for one reason: it is the only number that tells you whether something will fit it. Our garment listings carry the same kind of figure, so the two can be read directly against each other without converting anything.

Part of the Jellycat Characters range

Buttercup Butterfly sits within the Jellycat Characters range. We keep a range together on the shelf and on the site, because the pieces were designed to be seen that way, and because the sizes within a range often overlap enough that a single outfit fits more than one of them. The size guide sets out the centimetre bands, and every garment we make is listed against one of them.

Made from, and looking after it

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Left to dry naturally it keeps its shape, and the stitched features come through a wash unchanged, which is the advantage of embroidery over anything printed or glued.

Choosing it as a gift

We list it under everyday companion, and it is picked here mostly for a birthday and no particular reason at all. Big enough to notice when it is unwrapped, and not so big that it has to find a permanent home the same day.

About A Flying Wish

Everything we make is built to celebrate the stories people share with the companions they keep. Buttercup Butterfly sits on our shelves for that reason, and our own outfits are cut to fit it and the rest of the plush in its band. The size guide has the full table.
