Amuseable Jellycat Cheese Fondue

A yellow amuseable at 20 cm, Jellycat Amuseables Cheese Fondue belongs to the part of Jellycat’s range made for holding.

A closer look

The Amuseables idea is simple and it works. An ordinary thing is given a face, two small feet and enough personality to earn a place on a shelf. Amuseables Cheese Fondue reads as yellow and cream, and the stitching around the features is neat enough to look deliberate rather than merely cute.

How big it is

At 20 cm, Amuseables Cheese Fondue is easy to size up against an outfit. Measure your own plush from the base to the top of the head and compare the two numbers directly. The size guide carries the full table, and every garment we make names the height it is cut for.

Where it sits in the Jellycat range

This one comes from the Amuseables range. Jellycat design in ranges rather than one piece at a time, and it shows: the proportions, the face and the finish carry across, which is why collectors tend to buy two or three from the same family rather than one from each. Our own outfits are cut to centimetre bands for the same reason, so a piece bought a year later still has something in the wardrobe that fits it.

Fabric and washing

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. That is the whole of it. It is worth following, because heat is what turns a soft plush into a stiff one, and no amount of brushing afterwards brings the pile back.

Suitability

The piece leans amuseables food and drink, and it has been chosen most often here for a birthday and no particular reason at all. It wraps well, which matters more than it sounds when something is being given rather than kept.

Why we stock it

What we are trying to build is a shop where a companion and something for it to wear can be chosen in the same visit without any measuring anxiety. Amuseables Cheese Fondue is part of that, sized and banded so the outfit pages can be read against it directly.
