Jellycat Pretty Patisserie Gateaux
Pretty Patisserie Gateaux comes in a soft blush pink, more petal than sweet-shop. It has presence, which is a strange thing to say about something this soft, and true. The colour runs right through, underside included. Easy to give and difficult to hand back.
Sold by A Flying Wish, an independent shop not affiliated with Jellycat or any other brand. Stock is limited to the units we hold.

At 8 cm, Jellycat Pretty Patisserie Gateaux is a pink amuseable built to be carried rather than shelved.
About Pretty Patisserie Gateaux
This is one of the Amuseables, the range where everyday objects are given a face and a pair of feet. The colourway is pink and cream, and it holds its shape well enough to sit up on its own rather than slump against whatever is behind it.
Measurements and fit
Pretty Patisserie Gateaux measures 8 cm. Heights are taken from the base to the top of the head rather than the tip of an ear, which is the figure the size guide lists, so a shelf or a cot space can be judged before it arrives.
Part of the Pretty Patisserie range
The Pretty Patisserie range is where Pretty Patisserie Gateaux comes from. Ranges matter more than they might seem to with Jellycat, because the character of a piece is set as much by the family it belongs to as by the animal it is. Buying within one range is the reliable way to end up with a shelf that looks deliberate rather than accumulated, and our outfits are sized to follow.
Fabric and washing
Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Cool water and a little time are all it asks. Avoid wringing it out, since that is what distorts the seams, and press the water out with a towel instead.
Suitability
We list it under amuseables food and drink, and it is picked here mostly for a birthday and no particular reason at all. Big enough to notice when it is unwrapped, and not so big that it has to find a permanent home the same day.
About A Flying Wish
We are an outfit house first. The plush we stock, Pretty Patisserie Gateaux among them, are the companions those outfits are made for, and we list every garment by the centimetre band it fits so nothing has to be guessed at. Each piece is checked before it is wrapped and sent.
