Jellycat Munchkin Cat

Jellycat Munchkin Cat arrives as a cream cat, 19 cm from base to ear tip, soft the whole way through.

About Munchkin Cat

What distinguishes Munchkin Cat is the texture. It is the same everywhere you touch it, with no hard seams and no stiff patches, and the colourway of cream is matched across the ears and paws rather than left to chance at the cutting stage.

Size and fit

The measurement is 19 cm. Worth knowing to the centimetre rather than roughly, because our outfits are listed by the height they are cut for and a few centimetres is the difference between a dress that closes and one that does not. Measure base to head, and the size guide will tell you the rest.

Where it sits in the Jellycat range

Within Jellycat’s catalogue Munchkin Cat belongs to Munchkin, and that is the useful thing to know when you are choosing a second one. A range shares its finish and its proportions, so pieces from the same family photograph well together and, more practically, often share a centimetre band, which means they can share a wardrobe.

Materials and care

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Nothing here needs special products. Warm water and a mild detergent are what the fabric was finished with in the first place, and anything stronger works against it.

Choosing it as a gift

The piece leans everyday companion, and it has been chosen most often here for a birthday and no particular reason at all. It wraps well, which matters more than it sounds when something is being given rather than kept.

Where this sits in our shop

Two things happen in this shop. We make outfits for plush companions, and we stock the companions themselves, Munchkin Cat included. Keeping both under one roof is the only way to be certain that what we sell to dress a plush actually fits the plush we sold.
