Jellycat Huggady Dog

A cream dog at 32 cm, Jellycat Huggady Dog belongs to the part of Jellycat’s range made for holding.

What it is like to hold

The fur is the soft, slightly weighted kind that has made Jellycat’s animals hard to put down. The colourway is cream, and the face is stitched rather than printed, so it keeps its expression through washing and through years of being carried about.

How big it is

The measurement is 32 cm. Worth knowing to the centimetre rather than roughly, because our outfits are listed by the height they are cut for and a few centimetres is the difference between a dress that closes and one that does not. Measure base to head, and the size guide will tell you the rest.

Where it sits in the Jellycat range

This one comes from the Huggady range. Jellycat design in ranges rather than one piece at a time, and it shows: the proportions, the face and the finish carry across, which is why collectors tend to buy two or three from the same family rather than one from each. Our own outfits are cut to centimetre bands for the same reason, so a piece bought a year later still has something in the wardrobe that fits it.

Materials and care

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. That is the whole of it. It is worth following, because heat is what turns a soft plush into a stiff one, and no amount of brushing afterwards brings the pile back.

Who it is for

It is as fitting for a birthday as for no particular occasion at all. It is also one of the safer choices when you do not know the room it is going into, because it does not insist on a colour scheme.

Where this sits in our shop

Two things happen in this shop. We make outfits for plush companions, and we stock the companions themselves, Huggady Dog included. Keeping both under one roof is the only way to be certain that what we sell to dress a plush actually fits the plush we sold.
