Jellycat Glistening Winter Butterfly

A gold butterfly at 22 cm, Jellycat Glistening Winter Butterfly belongs to the part of Jellycat’s range made for holding.

What it is like to hold

What distinguishes Glistening Winter Butterfly is the texture. It is the same everywhere you touch it, with no hard seams and no stiff patches, and the colourway of gold is matched across the ears and paws rather than left to chance at the cutting stage.

Size and fit

At 22 cm, Glistening Winter Butterfly is easy to size up against an outfit. Measure your own plush from the base to the top of the head and compare the two numbers directly. The size guide carries the full table, and every garment we make names the height it is cut for.

Where it sits in the Jellycat range

The Jellycat Characters range is where Glistening Winter Butterfly comes from. Ranges matter more than they might seem to with Jellycat, because the character of a piece is set as much by the family it belongs to as by the animal it is. Buying within one range is the reliable way to end up with a shelf that looks deliberate rather than accumulated, and our outfits are sized to follow.

Fabric and washing

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. That is the whole of it. It is worth following, because heat is what turns a soft plush into a stiff one, and no amount of brushing afterwards brings the pile back.

Suitability

The piece leans amuseables food and drink, and it has been chosen most often here for a birthday and no particular reason at all. It wraps well, which matters more than it sounds when something is being given rather than kept.

Why we stock it

A Flying Wish stocks Jellycat plush alongside the outfits we design and make ourselves. Every piece is designed with purpose, made to fit many beloved plush companions, and the two halves of the shop are meant to be used together. Glistening Winter Butterfly is one of the plush our outfits are cut to fit, and the size guide sets out which pieces work with which band.
