Jellycat Bartholomew Bear Strawberry

Meet Jellycat Bartholomew Bear Strawberry, a strawberry pink bear of 26 cm that settles easily into the crook of an arm.

The piece itself

Pick Bartholomew Bear Strawberry up and the weight is the first thing you notice: enough to feel substantial, not enough to be awkward in a child’s arms. The colourway runs strawberry pink and green, and the pile is brushed in one direction so it catches the light.

Measurements and fit

Bartholomew Bear Strawberry measures 26 cm. Heights are taken from the base to the top of the head rather than the tip of an ear, which is the figure the size guide lists, so a shelf or a cot space can be judged before it arrives.

The collection it belongs to

Within Jellycat’s catalogue Bartholomew Bear Strawberry belongs to Bartholomew Bear, and that is the useful thing to know when you are choosing a second one. A range shares its finish and its proportions, so pieces from the same family photograph well together and, more practically, often share a centimetre band, which means they can share a wardrobe.

Made from, and looking after it

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. That is the whole of it. It is worth following, because heat is what turns a soft plush into a stiff one, and no amount of brushing afterwards brings the pile back.

Suitability

It reads as everyday companion, which makes it an easy choice for a birthday and no particular reason at all, and it is one of the pieces people come back for a second time once they have given the first.

About A Flying Wish

A Flying Wish began with outfits and grew into the plush that wear them. Bartholomew Bear Strawberry is stocked here because it fits that idea, and because the pieces we design are made to last as long as the companion they are made for.
