Jellycat Bartholomew Bear Bat

Meet Jellycat Bartholomew Bear Bat, a caramel brown bear of 26 cm that settles easily into the crook of an arm.

About Bartholomew Bear Bat

The fur is the soft, slightly weighted kind that has made Jellycat’s animals hard to put down. The colourway is caramel brown, and the face is stitched rather than printed, so it keeps its expression through washing and through years of being carried about.

Size and fit

The height is 26 cm. That single figure is what our outfit listings are matched against, which is why it is printed here rather than a rough category. If you are buying a garment at the same time, it is the only measurement you need.

The collection it belongs to

Bartholomew Bear Bat belongs to Jellycat’s Bartholomew Bear range, which is the part of the catalogue we stock most deeply because it is the part customers come back for. Pieces from one range tend to sit well together, so if you are building a set rather than buying a single companion it is worth looking across the rest of it. We list what is in stock on the Bartholomew Bear pages, and the sizes are given in centimetres throughout so you can see at a glance which of our outfits will fit which piece.

Fabric and washing

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. That is the whole of it. It is worth following, because heat is what turns a soft plush into a stiff one, and no amount of brushing afterwards brings the pile back.

Who it is for

Filed under everyday companion, and chosen here for Halloween and a birthday more than anything else. It reads as considered rather than expensive, which is usually the harder thing to get right in a gift.

Why we stock it

We are an outfit house first. The plush we stock, Bartholomew Bear Bat among them, are the companions those outfits are made for, and we list every garment by the centimetre band it fits so nothing has to be guessed at. Each piece is checked before it is wrapped and sent.
